If for some reason Donovan McNabb is released (due to injury history & the sudden resurgence of Jeff Garcia, who could handle duty until a draft pick could take over), who do you see getting him. McNabb is a great QB when on the field, but the injuries over the past few seasons make him somewhat of a liability. Due to his 'Cuse roots, I'm a big fan, but JP has obviously cemented himself as the starter for another year (and I am happy with that), so what team could make a play for one of the better NFL QBs of the past 10 years?
Non-Bills question....

However if Garcia gets released I could see him going someplace where a rookie is drafted to "coach for a year" perhaps Oakland.

yeah JP is playing better...and if we already have next season penciled in as him and KH as backup we are nuts. teams need two quality qbs on the squad plus JP needs the competition...unless his fragile ego can't take it.

Yeah, I can't see this happening.. But if it did happen, I could see: Miami, Houston, Cleveland, Green Bay, Carolina, Tampa Bay and Kansas City all making efforts at signing him.. I don't think Philly would be stupid enough to release him though.. Unless, his injury is worst than we all thought it was.

Who's dream? I was just trying to bring up a hypothetical situation, as there are a lot of 'Cuse fans on this board. As I said in my post, with JP playing as well as he is, there is no need or reason for any QB outside of a b/u.
As far as McNabb leaving Philly, stranger things have happened. As I said before, he hasn't completed 16 games in quite a while. If Garcia takes them deep (no Garcia innuendo intended there) into the playoffs, who says they don't use him as stop gap with a young guy? Maybe it's not likely, but watching Garcia play the other night...he was playing really good ball. Again, stranger things have happened.

I heard that he was offered a deal from Philly and Houston and chose Philly because he wanted to be on a winning team. I can't imagine him taking off to go play for a **** team next year.
