I am working the 200 level of the arena this season (easy way to watch the team for free) and im waiting by the employee elevator in the back and who walks out of a door next to me, no other than Mr. Afinogenov himself...
he was with a trainer trying to fix his stick or something...
this usually isnt a big deal because i see the behind the scenes people all the time. Players who are scratched or injured often say hi to the patrons in the 200 club level including:
-Derek Roy (who im taller than!! but has a REAL HOT Girlfriend)
-Andrew Peters (this guy is huge, nobody would ever **** with him if he was in a bar or something)
-Larry Quinn (usually sits near where i work)
-Tom Golisano
-Rick Jeanneret and Jim Lorentz (i see them occassionally when walking out of the arena by the security entrance near the zambonis)
-tim connolly (still has a bald head)
-Gilbert Perrault
its kind of cool being able to see these guys around the rink while working...
