Well to be fair, Vince had to split the first 2 games with Kerry Collins and didn't play in the 3rd.....not to mention Vince is a rookie and JP is in his 3rd year.

But I don't really wanna get into a Vince vs JP debate either. It's too early to know what Vince is all about and he plays for better coaches than JP. So it's not really apples to apples.

Carlton Bailey

fact is,it took young less time to 8 wins than it did LOSSman.

Was Vince Young ever corrupted by a horrific coaching staff? No. Odds are, if he had to deal with Mularkey, Clements and the rest of the stooges, he'd have experienced some troubled waters, too. Norm Chow is an excellent coach who knew exactly how to bring Young along.

Now that Losman has a more rational coaching staff, he's getting the job done -- and this is coming from a guy who wanted him gone after the 2-5 start. He really has shown me a lot of positives over the last eight weeks.

Give the guy a chance, and quit hating him for the sake of hating him.

Young's a great player, and hopefully Losman will be as well. Both are high-level AFC QBs right now, in my mind.

Also, Young was the third overall pick in his draft. Losman was the 22nd. There's a difference as to where the two are supposed to be. Young's expected to be better. When it comes to throwing the ball, it's been Losman. In terms of being multi-dimensional and winning games, it's Young right now.

The Bills don't have Vince Young on the roster and will not in the near future. They have Losman.

That's like saying Michael Vick's a better QB than Marc Bulger, for instance. You're basically comparing apples to oranges. Young is a two-dimensional player who will rely a lot on his feet. Losman, though mobile, would rather hang in the pocket and find his receivers downfield.

P.S.

Most of the time, the QBs who stay in the pocket win the championships in this league. Am I saying Losman will win a Super Bowl and Young won't? Absolutely not. But you never know.

this is like comparing david carr to payton manning. And blaming the Texans for not drafting payton (that's right, they couldn't, they weren't in existence when payton was drafted). Then contently measuring Carr's worth against manning, and holding that like a club over the team and management, and coaches for nto getting the same out of Carr. At least those two were 1st overall picks.

You're comparing a no.3 to a no.22 in two separate drafts. Worse, you're blaming the no.22 for being picked two years before young, even thought the Bills had NO chance to take Young at no.3 last year.

Why don't you compare losman to chad pennington, while your at it? (at least CP went around the same point in the 1st round as JP, though its an equally inane argument)

Oh, I know, Lets look at Tom Brady vs Vince Young... at least the Bills could have drafted Brady.

Brady: 3rd Round
Young: 3rd overall

Brady: 0 starts rookie year
Young: 12

Brady: 3 superbowl campionships, plus a superbowl MVP.
Young: 1 National Championship

What's the point. I know I'd hate to start in a new job and be contently compared against someone in a different situation for another company who has been doing it for longer/shorter then i have, and making more/less then i am.

We have JP, he'll be our starting quarterback through the rest of his rookie contract, likely beyond, we'll probably have JP under center for this team for the next 4 years min.

Deal with it.

no...I think he's saying to stop making excuses. Give it a rest. JP got screwed around by the coaches last year because he didn't start every game. He got screwed around yada yada. He's been in the league 4 years. No more excuses. We could have had a QB in the draft that would have played well enough earlier in the season to win games against teams like the JESTS and Detroit. Defending JP Losman for playing like crap is a joke. I'm glad he's gotten better....but he's really done nothing yet.

So what do you call people who continue to make excuses for the Defense and McGahee?

i see more bashers against the Defense and McGahee than people who make excuses.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!those that continue to make excuses for LOSSman are Lickers and Homers.
The time for excuses is over, that I agree with, so has the time for being stupid about this. Losman has played well since the bye that is a fact.
