    Close to signing Spikes?

Bills | More On Spikes - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
20:24 PT: Updating an ongoing story, John Clayton of ESPN.com reports there continues to be building momentum that the Buffalo Bills or another team might sign transition free agent LB Takeo Spikes (Bengals) to an offer sheet.

Hey man wouldn't that be great? I hope they're really working on it.

yeah but it would be a lot easier if they took the transition tag off him, because if they keep it then the bungels have a week to match the offer and that would slow TD and the bills down in signing other glaring needs.

Yeah, but, if the tag is off, it becomes a bidding war.

Since I haven't heard of any other team wanting to sign him with the tag on, I'll take my chances with TD coming up with an offer that Cincy won't match.

Kevin Hardy is going to visit Cincinnati which is a good sign that the Bengals are planning on a possible Spikes departure. Hardy could play inside and Brian Simmons would move outside for the Bengals. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I hope Cincy continues to use "Little Baby Chic" economics,

I predict he'll sign our offer sheet, and then right when the Bungles have Sam Adams, and Agent Wright at the table to sign a contract, Tom Donahoe will call Wright's phone, and then Wright will whisper something in Adams' ear, and then Sam Adams will get up and say - "I can't sign this offer now, the Bills promised me a lifetime supply of Hotwings, and a car like Ublinkwescore's avatar (even though I wouldn't fit in it) if I sign with them", and then he and Wright will hop on a plane, and then we'll be hearing the Bills have signed Adams. And to further add insult to injury, we'll trade Eddie Robinson to them along with the #23 pick from Atlanta, and they'll give us their #1.

Tom Donahoe is more evil then me, I've gotta tip my hat to him.
