He signed a lucrative 3-year contract over the summer, but Tim Connolly has yet to play a minute for the Sabres this season. There's little doubt he'd be a huge offensive asset if healthy, but now, after a new prognosis that said Connolly's concussion problems might be caused by a disc problem in his neck, a target of February has been set. Stay tuned.

if he comes back look for Peters and/or Kotalik to be traded so they can get under the salary cap.

Not till offseason, after the trade deadline the cap is lifted... so alot of moves offseason to keep drury and briere....

oh and the neck theory was out in the open nearly a month ago.. but didnt get much press time..... so technically its old news... i personally dont see him training back up to par in less than 2 months, seeing he's not over the symptoms yet.

Why cant he be ready in 2 months? If he comes back why not just use him initially as a PP specialist and don't give him a regular shift. Hell Peters only plays like 3 mins a game anyways.

Plus trading Peters will save, what, a whole $150,000 from the cap?
