Bill Cowher appears to be done as Steelers Head Coach...

Cowher expected to retire Friday at news conference

    By John Clayton
    ESPN.com

Bill Cowher has informed his assistant coaches he is stepping down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers after 15 seasons.
Cowher wanted to take a week to make his decision, and the Steelers were willing to give him until next Monday or Tuesday to make a decision. But after talking over the situation with the family and the Steelers, Cowher decided to move up his announcement until Friday.

Maybe if the Fish don't hire Mularkey as head coach, the Squealers will

What a shame. I won't miss seeing his ugly mug on TV, but then again I still say that he'll most likely look for another job with a different team, either now or in a year or two. I pray that it isn't Miami.

Hey, more power to him. He got his ring finally. Screw it, take some time off and then he's going to be a coach again with another team. Mark my words!

he'll probably sign on as NE's offensive coordinator two days after he retires.

As far as Mularkey goes, they hate him in Pittsburgh. Steelers fans tried to warn us when he got hired in Buffalo (just like we tried to warn Fish fans when they hired him).

The consensus among high-ranking team officials, and sources around the NFL, is that Bill Cowher will retire as coach of the Steelers after 15 seasons.

Cowher is going to spend some time with his family and will be back on the sidelines in a couple of years.
