    Re: Cowher resigns.

I know it was old news but heres some readin material.

His was the best known jaw in the NFL, a jutting block of granite that perfectly reflected his toughness and passion for winning. What no one seemed to know about Bill Cowher was that finally winning the Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers not only calmed his competitiveness, but sent him off on a football sabbatical with a look he rarely flashed before: a smile of satisfaction.

PS- Ben was seen throwing his ponchos away.

        Re: Cowher resigns.

Cowher, if he coaches again, has signaled he wants to be one of the league's highest-paid coaches. His current $4 million-plus salary is about half that of Mike Holmgren, whose Seahawks lost to the Steelers in the Super Bowl last season. The Steelers have given no indication they are willing to pay any coach an $8 million salary.

I think it is going to be very difficult to replace him, no matter what anyone on ESPN says. He was a good coach.

John Fox will get fired next year and Cowher will take over for Carolina. You heard it here first.

Good riddance. Steeler fans are spoiled, hopefully they can taste a little defeat now.

Miami will give him 8 million a year if he promises never to resign or leave the program.

John Fox fired.... wasnt it just last year that everyone was singing his praises and lamenting the fact that buffalo passed on him?

If the Panthers don't go deep into the playoffs next year, I 100% agree. Not because I think Fox sucks, but because Cowher is better and will be living in Carolina.

And then if Dick fails to bring us to the playoffs again we can hire Fox like we should have from the beginning.

I always hated him...going back to that '95 playoff game where Kelly was threatening to kick his ass afterwards.
