I read in the Denver Post that the Avs could trade Dan Hinote to the Avs for Stu Barnes. I like this trade what do you guys think?

I think it's a bad trade since the Avs keep Hinote, and they get Barnes:)
I hope they don't fool Darcy with this one.
I really know little about Hinote though. Anyone?

You gotta be kidding me. Hinote is a Varada type player. That's not a bad thing, but we need guys who can ****ing score, and we can't afford to give up guys like Stu for guys who can hit and do little else.

Actually, I dont think Connolly deserves to be traded. He has gotten a bad rep over all. Check out the article and see what you think then:

He's not the type of player the sabres need!
Stu Barnes is a good center who's able to score 50 points and more, if he plays the way he alredy did lats year.:clap:

I dont agree with any of those claims Stu is a valuable asset to the club and so is Connolly. The only thing i think is wrong with Connolly is when Ruff told him to pass and shoot more instead of using his great puck handling skills. It seems he can never tell what to do, so he ends up giving away the puck on a drop pass which never works! I believe that once he figure out when he can finally read the play by himself without anyone barking at him he will be an amazing player!

Darcy can't do this one. Hinote is a guy who is only capable of a max 20 points in a season. He's not worth our captain. Although I also heard that Colorado would trade Dean McAmmond for Barnes.

What's so special about McAmmond other that the fact that he was part of the Drury trade? I don't follow the Western Conference that closely.

In 2001-2002, McAmmond got 21 goals and 51 points, but then he got injured and hasn't been the same since.

Um, Connolly hasn't even played 2 full seasons with us yet and he's only 21!!!!!
