When was the last time we lead the NHL half way through the season? I believe never.

And what is scarey is that we are not even playing up to our potential.

I'm glad they have the most points and all, but it seems that the team with the most points tanks in the playoffs. Hopefully that isn't the case with Buffalo.

No, he really didn't.

Remember those years before the lockout when the powerplay (and unsurprisingly, the team) was atrocious? Scott Arniel ran it then, too.

Want to know why the powerplay's been pretty **** lately?

I'll give you a hint:

They can't use Connolly being out as an excuse(though he would be a great addition). They need to make the right adjustment on the power play's and they aren't.

I really think you'll be shocked to see how much the powerplay improves when Tim comes back.

His ability to hold the puck (and subsequently make defenders back off of the pointmen) and make that dagger like final pass has been sorely missed.

I KNOW how much the PP will improve, but what if he doesn't? We'll blame not winning the cup because Tim didn't come back from injury?

If our powerplay continues to struggle, yes I think that could be a valid argument.

or we could just be in a PP drought.
