Okay, here's what they are reporting and have been reporting since this morning.....

K Rian Lindell visited with the Bills this morning and had nothing but good things to say about the Bills and the area. He would make a good backup option if we can't re-sign Hollis, IMHO.

Takeo Spikes is scheduled to come to Buffalo later today or tonight. He will be staying for 3 days and work out for the Bills and take a physical and all. They are very interested in him and he wants to be here. Any player that can come to a city and stay there for 2-3 days definitely is interested. I expect a contract signed by Spikes and sent to the Bengals by Friday or Saturday at the latest.

Sam Adams will be in tomorrow. The Bills are VERY interested and have been in touch with his agent. Tom Donahoe will be taking both him and Spikes out to dinner tomorrow night.

I really don't think we'll sign Sam Adams. IMO, TD is just using him as a pawn to make Cincy nervous and force them into signing him so they have to drop the tag on Spikes.

My guess is that TD actually plans on using the 1st rounder we hopefully will get from Atlanta to draft a DT.

AWM....Cincy is now going after Thornton and wants to sign him. They could possibly sign him if they dont get Adams.

Spikes in town for 2-3 days!

You only do that when you want to work a deal out with that team!

Good find Mike!

Hmmm....that doesn't help us in getting the tag lifted on Spikes :(

If we wanted Adams, we could have gotten him last year.

Adams is a red herring.

Red Herring?

Isn't that a fish?

If he brings Adams and Spikes out to dinner at the same time. . . well, then, that might just be a nice opportunity to lure them in as a package. Each of those men would make the other that much of a better player.

2-3 days is definitely significant

Excellent news, then if we get atlantas 1st rounder we could adress: safety, DT, OLB, O-line and maybe even a 3rd wide.

I'm guessing we can get a #3 receiver anywhere in the first three rounds maybe even later, which makes that second pick in the trade somewhat significant.

we dont need to address safety unless it is in late round for depth. wire and pierson are good and young. the only thing we need to do with our secondary is to cut watson.

Our #3 WR needs to be a veteran

TD: bring em by Rose Bowl Lanes, I'll buy em both a drink :)

I want Martay here for the 3rd WR/KR.

martay as stated publicly that he wants about 3 mill a season. that is absurd. screw a guy that has NEVER started or put up decent numbers and wants anything over 1 million. that guy is more of a money player than price.

We do need a veteren receiver but if Jenkins is asking that much then forget it. Of course, what they ask and what they get are two separate issues.
