A fan has made it into the Super Bowl lineup — of commercials, that is — with his idea for an ad promoting the National Football League.
Gino Bona, 33, was one of 1,700 fans who auditioned concepts at stadiums this fall. Today, the NFL will announce that his is the idea it will make into a 30-second commercial to air during the Feb. 4 Super Bowl telecast.
Bona, director of business development for a Portland, Maine, marketing firm, says he tapped into his own "pathetic emotions" for the idea: a tongue-in-cheek take on the heavy heart fans have when the NFL season ends.
"I think NFL fans are like me," says Bona, a Buffalo native and Bills fan. "We get depressed when we think about what Sundays are going to be like for the next six months."

Oh yeah, big Bills fan this guy is. Check out this quote printed in the Union Leader (Gino's local paper)....

Bona, originally from Buffalo, N.Y., said he's hoping to watch his Patriots in the Super Bowl this year after his hometown Bills didn't make the playoffs.

"Since they stink this time of year, I'm rooting for the Patriots," he said.

The Buffalo News has him rattling on about how he loves Buffalo and the Bills but when a local paper interviews him he disses and team and sucks up to the Patsies or as we read here "HIS PATRIOTS". Way to go Gino.

Here's the full story, if you are interested...

Friggin' loser! Hmmm, what a nice look for a SB commercial ... created by a fairweather fan. Just don't want him jumping on the Bills bandwagon next year when we're in the playoffs and Pats are on their respective arses.

wow, thats harsh, he's not even a fan if he says something like that, and then goes to the team that is "hot"
