WTF is wrong with these guys, these guys are the best in the league. You could add Max and if Vanek decides to play every game instead of every 4 he be a shoo in.

Miller is not the best goaltender, and Briere isn't one of the best three forwards.

Well, in points it goes Crosby, Ovechkin, Hossa, St. Louis, Jagr, Lecavalier, Heatley, Straka, Savard, and then Briere.

I am not going to argue about who is the better goaltender because both are very good however one can't be like feelthepain and just look at stats. New Jersey plays a totally different style of hockey then Buffalo. New Jersey plays a very defensive style of hockey and is patient and waits for the other team to make a mistake to capitalize on. Buffalo prefers to play wide open hockey and have there defense pinch in a lot more resulting in many odd man rushes for the other team. As a result of the different syles of play New Jersey doesn't give up nearly as many scoring chances as Buffalo. If Buffalo played the same boring style of game as New Jersey Miller's stats would be much better and if you put Brodeur in Buffalo's system his stats would be much worse. There is much more than to stats that meets the eye.

my thoughts exactly. Many other teams like NJ take 0 chances and are very, very conservative. It's like watching chess but with fighting once in a great while. If Miller had 4 guys standing there all the time all of his stats would improve but only one stat matters, we are #1 in the EC points and if you factor in 2 wins a loss on the 3 games in hand we are #1 in the league.

I agree that the Sabres are the best. I'd even go as far as to say I was wrong with comparing Briere's points to the other forwards. But I definately think that Brodeur is a better goalie at this point than Miller. I know that Miller is young which is why I defend him to the death when he lets up goals he should be saving, but if I were to choose the all-stars I'd give Brodeur my vote. He's proven himself alot more.

I went to the game when the Devils played the Caps a few weeks ago, and I was right behind the goal about 15 rows up. Brodeur was in that net for 2 periods, and the guy was absolutely amazing. I couldn't believe some of the stops he made. There was one play where the Cap who shot the puck was so sure he scored that he put his hands up to celebrate, only to see Brodeur rob him at the last second.

Anybody that doesn't think that Brodeur is the best goalie in the East... let alone the league... let alone perhaps the history of the NHL, isn't watching any games outside of Buffalo. I love Ryan Miller, he's amazing... but he's not Martin Brodeur. Brodeur plays almost every single night, always has. He puts up far more shutouts then anybody else in the league. His GAA is consistently at the top of the league. Not to mention he has 3 Stanley Cup Championships...
