The article is interesting and brings up issues that could be really occuring with the whole Ostroski thing. However I think Ostroski's experience can be an assest to the team. Although after reading this article I wouldn't be suprised if he is one of the names on the cut list when the season starts.

Life in the NFL is tough... Jerry O comes back early from his broken leg last year. As a result he needed to have surgery in June because the leg wasn't healed. What's his reward? A possible pink slip. Jerry O is not the best lineman but he is always a stand up guy and had the heart of a lion. If they do cut him I hope they bring him back at the vet minimum. Unfortunately, TD's hands are tied too because he needs to field the best team. Like I said, life in the NFL is tough.

I hadn't seen anything about Ostroski's weight problem before. I wonder why after being pretty disciplined over the years he suddenly ballooned. I guess it's time for Clumpy or Eb to revisit the cap issues should Ostroski be cut. It sounds like that may not be so farfetched.

After knee surgery, its probably pretty hard to keep the weight off with the appetite these guys have. There isn't really a whole bunch of cardio activities they can do when their knee is out of commission. If Ostroski can play, I definitely think there's a spot on the team for him, but if he can't get his weight down, with the number of OL injuries we had last year and are already having this year, we can't afford to keep him if he can't play.

I think if they offered him a paycut to 750,000 as the rumor is that he is worth keeping around. He would probably take it too.
