ESPNews reports New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin's contract with the team has been extended through the 2008 season.

Wow I tought he was going to get fired.

I wonder if Gilbride will stay as the OC. I sure hope so. That way when Eli fails , his arrogance for not wanting to play fo SD will burry him further.

I think the Giants may have extended Coughlin so that he he didn't go into next year as a "lame duck coach", coaching out the last year of his contract. If you think he lost the team this year, imagine what next year would have been like if the players knew it was the last year of his contract. Barring a great season, I would guess that Coughlin will be fired at the end of next season and the Giants will push hard for Cower if he's still available.

He won't admit it, but Eli regrets besmerching the Chargers. Eli will never wear a Super Bowl ring unless Peyton gets one and he let's his little brother try it on for ****z and giggles.
