The Eastern All-Stars I can easily live with, but in the West I have a problem.

The Western conference is a mess. You cannot select Cheechoo into this all star game. The guy is having an average year. He has 14 goals, while a player like Teemu Selanne is having a great year. Sellane deserves to start. I know this will piss off some of you, but Marian Hossa deserves it over Briere.

One other thing, if you look at the stats of the top 25 scorers, the East has 19 of those players.

I've been saying this for a while. I can't stand fan voting of any sort.

I take solace in the fact that in hockey, it doesn't really matter who starts.

it doesn't matter who starts because the lines will likely be different at the end of the game

however i agree with you that fans just vote for their team (i did) and that the media or coaches should choose the players in the game

ditto...except I can't complain about NHL All-Star Voting this year...with the Sabres starting 3 players out of 12 starting spots :D
