what does it take for an offer sheet to trigger the 7 day match period? can it be for less money each year but for more than 1 year? also, how is a signing bonus factored in?

any help would be appreciated.

Don't match our offer anymore. Take Peterson. Then again I wouldn't mind Peterson if Spikes doesn't push through
