Apparently WFAN in NYC is reporting that the Islanders are very close to landing a deal to acquire Satan .. though nothing has been said about who else is involved in the deal.

Anyone heard anything on this ?

Ruff and Co. Said SATAN And ZHITNIK will stay in buffalo no matter what rumours you hear.

WTF would someo ne trade their leading scorer just as the team is being bought??

There is no way that Regier would make this deal. He'd be run out of town. The team, all the fans, and probably even Golisano would hate him.

That would be one of the overall dumbest moves he could make. Darcy has a rep (or at least had one) of making deals that were essentially highway robbery (Wilson for Warrener AND a draft pick). This would be highway robbery going against us.

Odd... I just saw a message on the ESPN NHL board where a guy was asking anyone from the Buffalo area what rumors there are here about Miro being moved...

That pick ended being Ryan Miller which makes it evn better.

apparently the fourth period .. whoever the hell THEY are .. is reporting this as Isbister for Satan .. announcement pending.

Fourth Period is probably the biggest rumour site out there. I personally think they're full of BS, but I know some people who think they're pretty accurate.

So supposedly Isbister was a healthy scratch last game due to the impending trade. Any word on whether Miro is playing tonight against the leafs? That might give a bit of a clue to the truth of the rumor... maybe... <shrug>
I don't think anyone really wants to see him traded, even with his streaky scoring nature.

Sabres laughed at this rumor. Satan, our leading scoring for that joke...don't think so..My opinion: ridiculous!
