All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I just was playing poker against a Pats fan and he seemed to think that almost all revenue is shared evenly among the 32 teams EXCEPT:
Luxury boxes and Merchandise sold within some radius of the stadium.
Is this true? I find it hard to believe. Does anyone know how it does work?
Thanks
no... the only things shared are. (btw: i am by no means an expert on the revenue sharing, but this is based upon what I've been lead to believe)
Gates (80% home, 20% visiting team)
TV (total / 32)
Logo/trademark (video games/movies)
Advertising Fees on National (and most local) Add Campaigns (Campbell Soup commercials)
Team Apparel (though i think this one is not shared evenly, i think 50% of apparel goes to the team who's logo it is, and the rest is shared)
what is not shared:
Luxury Box Sales
In Stadium Advertising
Some Local Advertising Fees (though I'm not clear what qualifies for this one)
Stadium Naming Rights
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
