The last time the Buffalo Sabres had a losing streak this long, they snapped out of it with a home game against the Boston Bruins. They'll try to follow the same script Tuesday night.

The Sabres look to avoid their fourth straight defeat when they conclude a home-and-home series with the Bruins at HSBC Arena.

Marco Sturm scored the lone shootout goal in Boston's 3-2 victory Monday at TD Banknorth Garden, sending Buffalo (31-11-4) to its season-high third consecutive loss. With 66 points, the Sabres still lead the Eastern Conference by a comfortable margin, but they've lost five of their last seven games.

IMHO, 6 PTS is HARDLY a comfortable Margin

That Boston goal wasn't offsides. A puck carrier can't put himself offsides and he never brought it in, just to the blueline , not over it.

From what I saw, it was over, he brought it back and back over.

As this was happening, another boston player had come over the line.

I'm sure there will be more reviewing it though.

I played it slow mo on my DVR. The other guy wasn't off side. Chara had the puck on the line. The bull**** was the penalty on Kahlinen to put them on the PP

Yeah, it was Murray who scored the goal who was offsides, not Chara.

Chara brought the puck back over the line.

But Chara was the one who carried the puck over the line and gave to Murray in the zone.

Yeah, Chara brought the puck in, Murray went in as Chara pulled it back over the line and then in and passed it to Murray.

That play at the sideboards with Roy, I can't believe first that Boston didn't get a penalty for drilling Roy about three times then I thought Roy would get a penalty for roughing the guy back.

I just can't believe that a guy getting hooked on the glove has to fall like that though.

It is a very good effort from what I can see. Seriously though, I can't believe Boston is that far back, they must have really sucked in the beginning of the season.

The ice looked better tonight. The puck was sitting better. Maybe they got a new freezer

But honestly they were a lot more aggressive coming out of their own zone with a lot better decision making.

Yea, the score didn't really represent how close this was. Up until the last handful of minutes, it was 3-3.

I Believe he Got a Mandatory 1 Week Vacation from Billzone forums for what he did the other day... cant tell you details, but dont expect to see him till after the all star break,

teh ice looked a lil better, but still a bit screwed up in some spots, am i the only one that thinks we need to squici the thing off right before the period starts?

The effort was there, Paille was awesome, peters kept the bench warm, and Ruff was all over the refs..

The PPGoal was Offside, watching NESN-HD Feed going frame by frame...

oh, and the Sabres are back in 1st in the league for now
