From the Miami Herald:

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was reluctant to throw away his water bottle at a Miami International Airport security checkpoint Wednesday morning.

The reason, police say: The 20-ounce plastic bottle had a secret compartment that had a dark residue and a pungent odor of marijuana. Vick boarded his 8:20 a.m. AirTran flight to Atlanta before screeners called police. Now, Miami-Dade police are examining the bottle and could charge him if it tests positive for drugs.

:lmao: Maybe he will just lose the job himself by being an idiot. Come on Schaub, here's your chance to prove that you are a much better quarterback than Vick and would do a better job at leading the team to the playoffs and maybe the Super Bowl.

Except it violates the NFL policy. It will be at least strike one for him.

Didn't Onterrio Smith get suspended for being busted off the field?

Like I said a slap on the wrist, and he would have to test positive for it to be strike one, just possessing it would not be a violation of the drug policy. Though Im not completely on this.

I don't think so. Possession counts as well (or at least I thought so). I am pretty sure DWI's count too.

Because some of "these guys" just aren't that bright.

If he is convicted he wont get suspended by the league unless he already has 2 previous positive tests that we don't know about. However once you test positive once I believe you have to enter the leagues substance abuse program which means you get constantly tested instead of the random testing that "clean" players are subject to. He would be peeing in a cup quite a bit.

first two testsWhich is actually possible as its not supposed to become public knowledge until a player tests positive for the 3rd time and is actually suspended. Even then I don't think the league is able to say what substance the player tested positive for. It usually leaks but the league is supposed to keep everything under wraps.

Yea I know, just saying that even if he failed one test it doesnt really mean anything until he fails a 3rd

If we had a poll of most stupid NFL player it sure would be a close race between McGahee and Vick

what a tool.

For the last six months, airports have been cracking down on liquids being taken on airplanes. As if attempting to bring pot on a plane isn't dumb enough as it is, he hides it in the FIRST PLACE the screeners are going to check.

In Miami? Inborn skill, training and practice.

In Atlanta? Striving to be recognized for your inborn gifts.

you're not able to take a bottle anywhere near an airport.. these players have been flying for months under these rules.

he knows that's the rule.

likely was high or is just the dumbest person ever.

nothing like using a 20 oz water bottle as a bong.he could have thrown it away and got another one at his next destination for $1.19. :loser:

Yes man!!I don't know, it was being reported that the Atlanta brass was telling all candidates that whether or not Vick stayed was up to them if hired. I dont know how practical that would be in terms of cap hit if traded though.
