"While speculation continues about the possibility of the Jets losing their top receiver, Laveranues Coles, to the Falcons as a free agent, the two clubs said yesterday that Coles had not visited Atlanta."
"We're spending all our efforts right now on Peerless Price," a Falcons official said, referring to the Buffalo Bills wide receiver. "Price is the only receiver who's been in here. We've wined and dined him."

C'mon, lets get this thing over with. If you really want PP, just give us your first rounder already!!

Great Picture Brian!

Yeah, really it shouldn't be much effort at all. You want PP, fine. Send us your 1st rounder and possibly a later mid round pick and he is yours. Sounds easy enough to me.

(Yes, I'm probably over simplifying but I just want this deal to get done)

I wouldn't mind a lower pick and one of Wade's good starting LB's they have there.

I've looked at their roster:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/roster?team=atl#

and I do NOT see any players I would be interested in that Atlanta would be willing to give up.

Give me the draft picks!

I'll take Jay Feely and a #1...I am guessing we'll get a #1 this year and a #4 next year for Price and a #6 this year

Feely is NOT good under pressure. He missed a few kicks ate in games indoors. Can't imagine what he'd be like under pressure in December at the Ralph :scared:

How many clutch kicks did Feely miss, indoors no less?

No thanks.

Great minds think alike.

I particulary remember him blowing a 30 something yardr against da Bears that cost them the game. In Atlanta.

How about a first rounder, and a conditional 3rd or 4th?

we get a 4th rounder from them if Price gets over 1,000 recieving yards, and 9 TDs, or a 3rd rounder from them if Price goes over 1,350 recieving yards, and 11 or more TDs.

That sounds more then fair to me.

TD wants a pick this year. A conditional wouldn't be till next year.

I think that the 4th rounder is hampering the deal. If this is the case, I say to TD..have them make it a 5th rounder or 3rd rounder next year.

how about a 1st and 6th this year and a 2nd next year

Hell, I'd be ecstatic with a first rounder this year and a 2nd rounder next year. Wys would probably have a heart attack! BTW....our bet has been changed to 2,000 ZoneBucks!!! :$:

Please make me some money, TD! Trade Peerless for at least a first rounder.

The only offer I've heard that ATlanta has made is Ray Buchanan and a third round choice. Others have said Atlanta has no third round pick. I don't know if they acquired one in a recent trade or they're talking next year or what. My reaction to that is let Vick continue to throw to scrubs. Ray Buchanan is pretty good but he's 31. As a third CB he'd only be a short term bandaid. I would never trade a relatively young guy like PP who has the potential to make the pro bowl for a 31 year old bandaid.

Tiger...what is the source for this trade? They do NOT have a 3rd rounder and have not aquired one. Do you have a link? I'm surprised no one has posted this trade offer...it's a terrible offer!

They gave up their 3rd rd pick last year during the 2002 draft

Why would they even think to offer a CB?

Best we will do is their #23 overall and maybe a late pick this year or next

Michael82

See! I knew it. This offer makes ABSOLUTELY no sense and is phony...because they dont have a 3rd rounder.

What is your source, Tiger? ESPN? PFW? or is it that hilarious ProFootballtalk.com?

We don't need a 31 year old CB when we have Clements, Winfield and Thomas. I doubt that is true because TD would probably stop talking to them if that is all they will offer.
