So I get an email regarding the season's highlights and there is an image with quotes from players and the coach:

Did they make Wire a LB permanently? I thought it should still have his safety position on it. :idunno:

I think Wire is in the Dick and Marv's long term plan for depth at LB, which I am fine with - just don't make him cover WRs! LB was his natural position in college and he had to learn to be a saftey, and transition that we know didn't really happen as planned. I think Wire could be valuable as a back up LB, and that his time as a saftey might actually have helped him become better at LB. At 6', 220, he's pretty much the same size as Ellison. Wire might be a better OLB for this D than he would've been for Jerry Gray's.
