Owen Nolan is now a Toronto Maple Leaf:
The Sharks ended weeks of speculation Wednesday night when they traded captain Owen Nolan to Toronto, severing their connection with the player who came to symbolize the toughness they were striving for as a team.
In return, the Sharks received:
• Center Brad Boyes, Toronto's top offensive prospect. Boyes, 20, is the leading scorer with St. John's in the American Hockey League.
• Alyn McCauley, 25, the Maple Leafs' fourth-line center who has six goals and nine assists in 64 games.
• The Maple Leafs' first pick in the 2003 entry draft.
