BILLS STILL IN EUROPE RUNNING: Even though there were widespread reports last week that the Dolphins and Giants would be the game played overseas in London next fall, a report in the Palm Beach Post maintains that the Bills and Saints are still in the mix as possible "home" teams. The report says that San Francisco and Seattle are out because the league doesn't want west coast teams traveling halfway around the world. The pool of teams in the running to host a regular-season game in London this fall likely has been trimmed from six to three. The Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints remain candidates.
A source involved with discussions about the game strongly hinted that the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers have been eliminated because the league doesn't want to send West Coast teams to Europe. A source with the Kansas City Chiefs said they are no longer in consideration, either.

The league plans to announce the matchup and stadium the week of the Super Bowl.
In a conference call Tuesday with London media, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the game will be played between late September and mid-October.
Teams that play outside of the United States would get a bye week after the game, according to league policy.
The only regular-season game held outside the United States was between the "host" Arizona Cardinals and 49ers in Mexico City on Oct. 2, 2005. It drew an NFL-record 103,467 fans.

Steelers intensify talks with Grimm: Russ Grimm, a Steelers assistant for six seasons and their assistant head coach for three, met for six hours Wednesday during his second interview in a week with owner Dan Rooney, team President Art Rooney II and Kevin Colbert, director of football operations.
Baltimore: The Ravens extended coach Brian Billick's contract after the franchise's best season.
The team declined to provide further details. The Sun of Baltimore said the extension was likely for one or two seasons and that Billick likely would be paid about $5 million per season.
Houston: The Texans named former Green Bay Packers coach Mike Sherman their offensive coordinator.
New England: The Patriots listed safety Rodney Harrison (knee) as doubtful for Sunday's AFC title game.
Oakland: The Raiders conducted a second interview with USC quarterbacks coach Steve Sarkisian about their vacant head coaching position.
Noteworthy: Dolphins rookie Marcus Vick asked a Virginia judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a teenager who claimed she had a sexual relationship with him when she was 15 and he was 19 and playing at Virginia Tech.
