I thought that only the player that fumbled was the only offensive player that could recover a fumble in the endzone?

Why is it that NE players are allowed to stand around the refs and influence their decision???

The_Philster
01-21-2007, 07:19 PM
depends on where it's fumbled....if it's fumbled short of the endzone, then yeah...only the guy who fumbled it...if it's fumbled in the endzone, anyone can recover it

You have to read the fine print in the rule book, it clearly states, "unless you're the NewEngland Patriots"!

It's not getting old. It's beyond old. I'm so sick of this ****ing team. When the **** will they go away? Why the hell does the NFL think we want to see them again? Wake up, NFL! Your product is starting to suck and if u force the Patriots down our throats again, you will lose ratings for the Super Bowl. :curse:

then, the rule wasn't followed thru. The ball was fumbled before the end zone, but then knocked forward from the pile, into the end zone. :ill:

Wasn't the ball fumbled short of the endzone? And how can the ball be fumbl3ed in the endzone that in plies the player had it in the endzone in which case playover, toouchdown???

I think we should start a nationwide boycott of the superbowl if the patriots play in it. Maybe then the officials wont give them as many breaks as they seem to get

a fumble is a fumble. You can't fumble in the end zone once you have possession in the end zone it's a TD. I think if the ball is fumbled all the way through the end zone it's a td for the offense unless a defender touches it in which case it's their possession.

MikeInRoch
01-21-2007, 08:37 PM
The rule is if it's a fumble in the last two minutes of a half. And it's not limited to the endzone.
