Asante Samuel FA possible Bills target?

I know this guy is going to command a ton of money on the open market and there will be several teams interested in his talents, NE among them.

However, NE has shown in the past that they won't pony up the bucks for pretty much anyone and just use interchangeable parts that seem to never skip a beat.

Every week I see Samuel play I am more and more impressed. Ballhawk and sure open field tackler. With Clements likely to be out, we definitely need a replacement for him. I say we try to go after this guy if we can get him in the neighborhood of 7-8 per season.

We'll have to pay him a little more than what Nate got this past season but Samuel is without a doubt a top 5 corner in this league. Just today he's been all over Harrison like a cheap suit and week after week he just makes play after play. I'd love to be able to see us have a corner we can put out there an island and not have to have safety help over the top.

Plus a signing of this magnitude would show me and I'm sure many other fans of this team that Ralph does have some commitment to winning and is willing to pony up some dollars to get us to that next level.

I know we have other needs on this team, but Samuel is a guy we could plug in for the next 5 years and between him and McGee be set at the corner position for that period of time.

I must end with the enivatible closing line....."we gotta get this guy!"

RW is cheap as well so plan on us getting no one but draft choices.

If they're going to pony up the money Samuel is going to latch onto this off-season, they might as well do it for Clements and keep him.

Better to sign your own, then somebody else's.

I think Samuels is becoming a great player, and I like his attitude.

He will be expensive, but a little less than Nate. I think he'd more realisitic to sign than Clements, though either is highly unlikely.
