The Oakland Raiders are preparing to make a run at Falcons QB Michael Vick, according to NFL sources. The Raiders package would include receivers Randy Moss and Jerry Porter plus the No.1 overall pick in the 2007 draft for Vick and the Falcons first round pick (10th overall).

I would think Oakland would want to keep Moss, he actually might work with Vick.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Al Davis is out of his mind if he does something like that. Just stick to your first pick and draft JeMarcus Russell, Big Al. Randy Moss will love Russell. He'll play for Russell. Closest thing to Culpepper he'll get.Comment

the Falcons would be stupid to turn that down- that's way more than Vick is worth.
Plus, they could have their pick of QB's at #1 to replace Vick- Russell, Quinn, Smith- whoever they like best. They could probably trade the pick again and move down a few spots and still get one of those guys.Comment

If Davis does that, he's guaranteeing the Raiders at least 3 more years of high draft choices. When the fans see how hopeless the Raiders are with Vick at QB Davis may have wholesale fan rebellion on his hands. I love it!I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a perfect trade? Al Davis and the raiders will continue to suck and Vick gets to go and die in obscurity. I think they deserve each other.Comment
