View Full Version : Clarification on the Price Atlanta deal.

From Atlanta' ESPN 680 The Fan:

The local radio station was interviewing Jonas Jennings and JJ revealed that Price had contacted him earlier in the day. Price stated that the Bills have sold the rights to his contract to Atlanta. The details with the agreement are unknown at this time. Takeo was mentioned only in speculation. The local DJs believe that the deal with Takeo must be done IF Buffalo has agreed to part with Price. They further stated that although they don't know the specifics of the agreement, the 1st round pick could be accompanied with another pick. possibly as high as a 4th rounder. The Falcons have two 4th round picks this year and no 3rd round pick. As of right now this is all the info being passed.

If they have two 4th's we got one of them. This is a good deal with the 4th.

Yeah Atlanta got a 4th rounder and a 6th rounder from Philly in a trade for a LB.

Maybe we then take the 4th rounder and give it to Cincy to leave Spikes alone. :D :pray:

Buff - I'm not sure what your asking. Are you refering to the 6th rounder that Atlanta receive for the trade with Philly? Or are you suggesting that there have been reports that Buffalo has acquired a 6th round from Atlanta?

There is a nasty rumor (to me anyways) that we gave Cincy our first to lay off Spikes. I hope we gave up less or that this is not true.

I don't think that TD would give a 1st rounder away for Spikes. Would he? :scratch:

Why should he give Cinci anything? Buffalo has the upper hand with nearly $12 million free CAP bucks, assuming Price is a Falcon.

It's not reporting. The DJs are just talking and say that that is a possibility! I don't think so tho. Cincy wont match the offer....they can't! :D

Exactly Throne! He shouldn't give up anything, but I think Mike is on to something. Give Cincy a low round pick to keep them from matching the Takeo offer.

It means we could sign Spikes for less because we could satisy him without overpaying to block out Cincy.

Jonas Jennings (ex Georgia Bulldog ) was being interviewed by an Atlanta sports show and prematurely released the information. Jonas is good friends with Peerless.

RedEyE......maybe that is why TD was pushing for a 4th rounder or so. He is planning on giving it to the Bungals just for them leaving Spikes alone and signing the sheet saying that they aren't going to match. :D

hey guys.. the 4th rounder that philly gave atlanta is for NEXT YEAR.. they only have ONE this year..

A guy on the atlanta board is claming he signed a 7 year deal worth 34 mill. who knows how true this is but I thought I would drop it in here
