This is a guy that the Bills should be targeting in FA. Great player who would make and excellent bookend with Schobel. I would love to see him in a Bills uniform.

I believe he's an RFA...alot will depend on the tender he gets. Im not sure though.

Yeah he is, he and Will Smith made a sick tandem for NO this year.

If his contract is up, he'll be an UFA.

5 years and just bc his contract is up, does not mean he is an UFA

Technically you're correct because the Saints can tag him. I was just answering whether he's a RFA or not.

He is an unrestricted free agent and he would be a huge upgrade on this line. Here's a link from cbssportline.com outlining the Saints offseason and it states Grant will be an UFA.

Alright, we really need to find a good FA site, bc Red Zone sucks! He's not even listed on there.

They probably didn't list him as a UFA because he was originally under contract for 6 years. However, he played well enough to void the last year of his rookie deal.

Didnt know that, although I did notice other issues with their site like listing Ricky Manning Jr as an UFA.

I agree! We need a good site to keep us informed.

if the bills are aggressive enough they easily have the cap space to land grant. his play fluctuates, sometimes hes dominant others he seems non existent. he is however, consistantly in position, and has great character and work ethic. he would come in and be a team leader on day one, very vocal. he does have a strong dedication and rapport with the city and team of NO so i could actually see him re-signing with NO for less, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part. if he did go anywhere though i would love to see him in a bills uniform opposite schobel creating one of the if not the best DE combo in the nfl.

he's definately worth the money but i don't see how the Saints couldn't Franchise him.

SaintRochester

they could franchise him but right now it seems the general consensus is to try and land a big name CB and LB in FA. if my saints could pick up clements and london fletcher-baker or donnie edwards they probably wouldnt have the cap space to re-sign sir charles

^^^^^^^hes a RFA and is tenderd the highest he can be. Do you want to give up your 1st and 3rd for him?

No he isn't, and nobody is tendered yet.

Teams have until March 1st to tender restricted players.

^^^^^^^you seriously dont think he will be tenderd that high? He will IMO. Thats why i dont like RFA teams always try and squeeze anything out for them.

He an UFA...read an earlier post of mine in this thread with a link to the New Orleans site. It states that he is an UFA.

Grant has been in the NFL for 4 years. Therefore he's an UFA. It doesn't matter what some no name site says.

kerney is just as inconsistant as grant and hes coming off an injury, smith is better against the run but not as good of a pass rusher (normally LDE is better against the run) simeon is getting old and also coming off an injury, i dont know who milla is...........so why would you rather go after all 4 instead of grant. an explanation would be helpful

I just feel that kearney will be good next to another good end thats not always hurt like aberham and hes a good leader.
