Notice the last sentence -

Zierlein worked almost exclusively with the offensive tackles for the Bills while offensive line coach Jim McNally worked primarily with the centers and guards.

Considering the fact that the bright spot for the Bills' O-Line is Peters and Pennington this year, particularly Pennington's development in the last 9 games, no wonder the Steelers came calling.

On the Bills side, this cannot be a good thing. I'm sure they are counting on Pennington to step up next year, and now at least, he lost the one who guided him throughout the season and must work with someone potentially has a different technique.

In the big picture, I wonder if Zierlein is the one who suggested the O-Line shuffle involving both tackles. Remember Gandy played at LT the entire year the year before and got praises from McNally. Then again, Pennington was only available this year.

Maybe he was given the better talent and easier job as Mcnally concentrated on the interior, let's not read to much into this.

Really? From what I saw Guard to guard SUCKED most of the year. Getting up to average isn't much of an acomplishment. I agree maybe we canned the wrong guy?

Mcnally might not be our answer, but then again he did put together a Oline that consisted of a UDRFA, a 7th rounder, a 5th rounder, and two cast offs from other teams, but i agree that average is not the answer, Gandy Villereal and Fowler are not the answer in the middle, we nned upgrades there, and i did like what i seen in the later part of the season from Preston, and his natural position is C, maybe that is were he needs to be

I guess we'll just have to go out and hire an even better OT coaching specialist.
