They are reporting on news stations around here that Steve McNair is likely to become the QB for the open Pro Bowl spot. If this is true, it's BS. I really don't think JP necessarily belong sin the ProBowl, but there a several QBs (including JP imo) that should be there before McNair. I'd probably put Pennington, Vince Young, or JP in the game before McNair.

With Brady golfing, and other ProBowlers opting not to play "due to injury" who do you guys think should be the next in line to represent the AFC?

Who cares? The pro bowl is the worst.

McNair had a good season and is certainly more popular than JP. I think he is a good backup choice.

Vince Young!

McNair: TOTAL 468 295 3050 63.0 6.52 16 3.4 12 2.6 87t 14/84 82.5
Young: TOTAL 357 184 2199 51.5 6.2 12 3.4 13 3.6 53 25/129 66.7 (13 starts/15 games played)
Pennington: TOTAL 485 313 3352 64.5 6.9 17 3.5 16 3.3 71 30/172 82.6
JP: TOTAL 429 268 62.5 3051 7.11 83 19 14 47/332 35 10 84.9

By stats alone, I say it should be :gulp: Pennington.

Losman's a better QB than McNair, Pennington and Young (great runner, poor thrower).

How do you figure? QB rating says JP

When JP wins MVP and plays in a super bowl Ill believe that.

He has 300 yards more than JP in passing. The difference in their QB ratings is not as significant as the difference in their passing yardage. That's how I figured.
My (objective) order for these guys to go to the PB, as much as I'd like it to be JP, would be:

1.C. Pennington
2.JP Losman
3. Young (Passing was so-so, but made huge plays when it counted - w/legs and arm)
4. S. McNair

You have got to be kidding me? 300 friggin yards? My God....put the man in the HOF already!

300 yards difference over 16 games? Give me a break.

You've got to be kidding me? 2.6 friggin passer rating points? Put the man in the HOF already!

2.6 passer rating points over 16 games? Give me a break.

It would take JP about another 6 quarters worth of play to make up those 300 yards.

...and Pennington's went to the playoffs this season (and more than once overall)

First off, Vince Young's passing numbers are down right horrible. Second, Chad Pennington finished with better numbers and a winning season.

Right, see my posts later in this thread about Pennington.

Its harder to get more QB rating points than 300 friggin yards. Now compare The JETS TEAM to the Bills TEAM. Night and day

Pennington or McNair would be the right choice, based partially on numbers and even more because of WINNING.

Im down with the whole JP is on the rise thing going on here, I agree with it.. but he was FAR from deserving of a Pro Bowl birth.

Pennington, McNair and especially Vince Young should be there before him, and I think even JP would tell you that..

Next year maybe its another story.

BTW, how much crow should some of the ******s eat who said Vince Young would be a bust, another micheal vick,, blahblahblah.. I even remember one tarded up "frost" fellow poster on here saying he'd stop being a Bills fan if we drafted him and that he was the most overated QB to come out in his lifetime.

Young = Winner PLAIN and simple.

Lets hope JP becomes like that too.

Yeah, the Jets weren't expected to win more than 2-4 games this year based on the talent they have. And their running game was led by a castoff in Barlow and a rookie in Washington.
Why are you so sensitive about this? I;m not trying to dis JP in this thread. Losman had a good year and I started this thread by saying that he should be in the PB before McNair or Young. However, I think Pennington has a legit case to be there before any of them.

And we wern't supposed to finish much better than the jets but went 7-9. Mostly it was due to JP's progression.

Pennington has no more right than JP

QB ratings mean nothing to those who actually watched the games.

Hey, I'm not dissing JP, I really like the way he came on in the second half of the season.. going into that bye-week, everybody but his mother and a couple of homers on here were calling for his head.. He PROVED that he can play effectively in this league in the second half of the season and I'm proud of the way he showed a lot of resilency.

but to even contemplate him being deserving of a pro bowl birth over ANY of the other guys mentioned on this thread is totally absurd and ******ed..

Maybe in a year or two, but NOT this year.

Don't worry, JP is going to get snubbed again when they call V Young to replace Peyton who (win or lose) will not go to Hawaii and play for belichek!
