It probably was, i didn't watch it. I'm just being a pain is all, he's very talented, no doubt about it.

He had a great solo going at the end of his performance of Purple Rain but they concentrated on a big billowing sheet instead of Prince playing his solo? Found that wierd but with these halftime shows you take what they give you.

I didn't realize he could play like that

I don't usually watch it, but I thought he did a fantastic job! :rocker:
I didn't like the Aunt Jemima hat, though. Glad he took it off for purple rain.

I said it yesterday. Best SB performance ever. I like Prince but when you do a better job than U2 that's saying something,

He was better than Mick Jagger, that's for sure.
sorry honey.:snicker:

The NFL really needs to work on these lame ass halftime shows.

I bet the aunt Jemima doo-rag was because it was raining and he didn't want his hair to spaz. I don't really like halftime shows, but his performance was great. It was pretty cool that he included a marching band in it, since that is the traditional halftime show.

I was looking forward to seeing Prince since they announced it.

Many of my friends made fun of me but were in agreement immediately after his performance.

Easily my favorite Superbowl halftime ever.

The Foo cover really suprised me. I have heard Grohl cover Purple Rain before too. Maybe the two of them chat?

same here except all my friends like that rap **** and hip hop which for the most part i dont have a problem with but they have no respect for real rock and for someone to not have respect for Prince and his amazing performance last night is crazy!

Prince was the best SB halftime show since U2. Stones, McCartney, Janet Jackson, all lame.

To be honest, I have never seen "Purple Rain", but I might have to go rent it... maybe.

He doesn't really fall into any one style of music. He combines elements of many different styles to create his own.

"Dirty Mind", Prince's 3rd CD, is one of my favorite CDs still. I still like his later stuff, but his first 3 or 4 discs were really good. I've seen him in concert twice (once w/ The Time and Vanity 6 early on and the other time was a few years ago w/ just his backup band) and they were both fantastic shows.
