All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
What do you think of Sean Kugler joining coaching staff?
Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.
Sean Kugler, the assistant head coach and offensive line coach for the 2007 TostitosFiestaBowlChampionBoiseStateUniversity football team, has resigned his position with the Broncos to take an offensive line coaching position with the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League.
I heard that their line play was excellent and our OL needs all of the coaching can get.
Re: What do you think of Sean Kugler joining coaching staff?
They needed a replacement. I was hoping for Mike Maser, formerly of the Panthers. But it will be a Missouri (show me) type of situation.
But Kugler's a local guy (Lockport, NY) and he's a LOT younger than 60+ years old (he's 40, Zierlein was 61 and McNally has gotta be at least that old).
Re: What do you think of Sean Kugler joining coaching staff?
Sounds like the Bills looked to a good program to hire a good coach that will only enhance our coaching staff here in Buffalo.Sound judgement brings sound results.
I'm your huckleberry.
Wyatt Earp: "Been hitting it awful hard, haven't ya?"
Doc Holliday: Nonsense. I have not yet begun to defile myself.
Re: What do you think of Sean Kugler joining coaching staff?
His association with the Detroit Lions' offensive line--which was horrid--before going to Boise State concerns me, but Boise St. did have a good offensive line this year and, as asst. head coach, he must have had some input into their offense, which featured an interesting mix of pass and run (like the SB Bills' teams, Boise St. was seen as a passing team, but actually ran the ball more than they passed it and were very effective).
As a young coach from the area, I can see him being able to perhaps connect well with the younger players that he will be coaching and being someone with ties to the area and the team that may keep him around for awhile. I'll take a "wait-and-see" approach, particularly because the guy he is replacing, Zierlein, did such a good job with Peters and Pennington, but this has the potential to be a good hire. Still, we'll see....
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

Kugler coached the TE's until promoted to OL coach for the last 5 games of the 2005 season (when Jauron became HC). You can't really hold that against him.
Re: What do you think of Sean Kugler joining coaching staff?
I think this is a good organizational sign. This is the type of coach that doesn't seem likely to join a sinking ship. BSU's OL was very impressive this year and I know Kugler's work was highly regarded.
He would seem to be a logical sucessor to McNally as well.

Did a good job with the lions Tight Ends......Young local guy .....Family must be happy .....Must connect with Pennington and new guys drafted this year....
