I thought that rain, snow, and the elements were what made football games great? Should the Superbowl be exempt, even though the NFL tries to hold it in a warm weather/dome locale every year?

 Interesting question
Quite frankly, it made it normal, IMO...seemed like all of our home games were in the rain this season..

It helped but the fact that the Bills weren't in it helped more.

remember the home open Phil, right when the Bills seemed like they could come back and drive for the win, the sky opened up and a driving gale and pounding rain struck almost like clockwork.

I thought it was still good

I loved it...took some of the sterility of dome/fair weather atmosphere out of it.

i encourage it. it shows who's the best of the best, who can triumph no matter what factors get thrown at them

I thought the rain made it interesting and it was a good game. Kind of sloppy at times but there were a lot of big plays made.

I think they should not allow Superbowls occur anywhere rain can appear in game which makes Dallas and Miami both inelgible for Superbowls since both have had rain this time of year.

I was hoping for a lightning storm and game postponed for safety reasons.

I hate it how the NFL tries to weather-proof the SB. Good teams have to win in all weather conditions to get there- why should that game be exempt?

I loved it, I hope the next time it's in an open air stadium, it snows. It's nice seeing the weather be a factor in any game, including the Super Bowl.

I can't believe I've actually heard Bears fans use the weather as an excuse... that's just comical in my opinion. Weather shouldn't change the outcome of the game. If you want to be the best, you win regardless of the elements.

plus it's not like only the Bears played in the rain :idunno:

Maybe it was watching the game on a HiDef television and all the cameras were blurry. I still think I would rather see it on a good day. Snow and rain are for the regular season.

It couldn't be terrible, because NE wasn't in it.
btw, are you talking about fog/rain on the cameras?

I would like to see the Super Bowl rotated throughout the NFL. Just about every city could support it while boosting each cities economy for a couple of weeks.

I think the team with the better record after the conference championship games should host the superbowl. The NFL can control allocation of tickets to fans around the league.

Bring back the olden days of the NFL and stop being candy asses about where to play the game. A championship game deserves to be played in either green bay, chicago, cleveland, buffalo etc.

2nd highest rated Superbowl of all time.

I thought it added a bit of fun to the game. Usually the Bowls are so sterile they don't even seem like real games for a while.

Hopefully it won't convince the No Fun League to stop having it in open air stadiums.

I really want to see a Super Bowl in Lambeau Field. That would be ****ing sweet!

That's a nice thought except for one thing...all the work and preparation going into setting up the Super Bowl...2 weeks wouldn't be enough time.
