It does seem to be hung up slightly, TD is holding firm

They know what the price is and they've known for a week," Donahoe said.

Even if Atlanta agrees to deal its first-round choice this year, the team said it would expect something more than just Price in return, likely a mid-round draft choice. That isn't likely to happen.

"They know what the price is and they've known for a week," Donahoe said.

Donahoe reiterated Friday morning, and apparently has told the Falcons as well, that he will simply retain Price for 2003 under the "franchise" marker and pay him the one-year qualifying offer of $5.01 million if necessary.

TD isn't going to blink first. :D

Yeah, but if it comes to a 2nd or nothing, we'd have to be foolish to not take the second.

Even Ingtar said that a 1st round pick next year is like a 2nd round pick this year. So TD, let's just take the 2nd this year if this is gonna slow this process.

We don't need Price and his value simply can't get any higher since he'll not likely ever outdo this past season while here in Buffalo. We do need Spikes, Adams, a WR and a few other players too.

Just get this done. This stupid game of "who's gonna blink first" is juvenile. Just get it done! We're not gonna get any first round offers from any other teams. So it's a second and a free $5M or Price is here.

ESPN has already pulled this story from the website. There must be something close.

Or something not about to happen...

TD doesn't settle.

He'll get what he wants.

I think Atlanta realizes they are in desperation mode at WR, a circumstance of their own making.

So I'm sure a deal will get done. TD's got some leverage if they've offered a first next year or a second this.

If something is not about to happen than the article was accurate. Why pull it?

Don't try to bring logic to this FTG.

Where's Mort? Doesn't he live in Atlanta??

Who knows. Just get it done.

If Atlanta were to balk, then I'd make some other face saving deal, like 2nds both this and next year. We do well w/ 2nd round picks.

Ya gotta remember, Atlanta knows that we're not gonna run off and ask Price to sign the offer. They may make us sweat it out a little too. They can pursue other WRs too and if they get a couple others, then they may not want Price.

Here's my question, suppose we sign Price for one year, he's likely not gonna have 94 catches again for over 1,200 yards for two reasons:

First, we've, TD has, said that we're gonna pass less. W/ a solid D that makes more sense anyway. Secondly, Reed will be up and coming and likely to catch more balls which will take away from Price's grabs. Moulds' production won't suffer as our best WR.

So Price's value isn't going up anytime soon presumably. It'd be foolish not to do something this season.

The excitement and experience of being a football fan, especially a bills fan has been exponentially increased by having a 24/hour a day active chat board.

There is always something going on, or someone to at least talk about nothing too.

god I love BFZ!
