The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports the Falcons are "very close" to acquiring Bills franchise player Peerless Price. The Falcons are reportedly offering their first round pick (number 23 overall) in next month's draft for Price and a Bills draft pick in 2004. Price lives in Atlanta during the offseason and has turned down all other potential recruiting visits with other teams.

Bills officials have stated that they don't intend to trade Price, but they also do not have a first round pick this year because of the Drew Bledsoe deal. Moreover, getting Price's salary off the books would free up enough cap space to acquire some defensive help such as free agent linebacker Takeo Spikes, who visited Buffalo on Thursday. So we're saying there's a chance. Get ready to move Mike Vick up in your rankings.
