Who's able to buy them and are you going to? Seeing that I bought a mini pack, I got a letter in the mail that says that I can buy playoff tickets if I want, but I can only buy the full package of the first 2 rounds. 8 games for $2 off face value, which turns out to be $93 per game, or $744 for section 300, level II. or $904 for section 300, level I. I'm thinking about taking my tax refund and paying for them with that. but I'm not sure.

Yeah, I almost died when I saw it. $744 just for playoff tickets?!?! you gotta be kidding me! :ill:

But I was thinking that if I buy them, I can sell half of them on ebay to help recover some of the cost.

and from what the letter said, it sounds like there is no chance that there will be any playoff tickets available to the regular joe schmoes. You gotta be a season ticket holder or mini-pack holder.

Also, just think...if the first two rounds are that expensive. Just imagine if they get to the Stanley Cup.... Those will easily be over $125 per ticket. :ill:

As I recall, the sem finals were $150a ticket and the finals were $200 a ticket last year.

But isn't it awesome knowing for a FACT that the Sabres will be in the playoffs and they aren't in a fight for their playoff lives. That's worth $700.

You should easily be able to go to half the games for free if you sell the other half online Mikey. I would think you'd have no trouble making all the money you spend back just selling half the tickets.

or more

people are going nuts in bflo over this. certainly cant blame them but if the team stays good the next few years they wont match the incredible demand for tix they have this season. one step from the sc after missing the post season for so long has people in a feeding frenzy but once/if it becomes rather standard to make the playoffs then it will tone down a bit

so i guess im just saying this of all seasons is probably the time you will get max dough off selling tix. personally i wouldnt sell them that way myself just cuz id rather have someone i know enjoy the game but i totally understand people that do

Yea, selling them online would be the way to go. Maybe go to just one game per round and sell the others. That would probably pay for the ticket to each round and give you a little extra to pay top dollar for the Conference Championship or Stanley Cup if they make it.
I agree if the Leafs make it you could really cash in but would you want to sell your ticket to a Leaf fan? I personally hope they play Carolina and ***** slap them all over the ice.

Threaten to sell it to a Leaf fan. That will up the price.

I ain't selling my tickets to the finals, unless Halle Berry is part of the offer.

Michael82
02-13-2007, 01:32 PM
But ticket holders can buy extras, right?
season ticket holders can only buy the total number of seats that they own. Then once all the mini-pack owners buy theirs, the season ticket holders can buy extras, but it's very limited and first come, first serve.

chernobylwraiths
02-13-2007, 06:18 PM
But ticket holders can buy extras, right?

Yes, and Lecter put in for two for us, but the chances are slim we would get two.

I can say that it will be difficult for me to go to all the playoff games and I will probably end up selling many of my tickets to the playoffs.

chernobylwraiths
02-13-2007, 06:19 PM
WHEN we make the Cup finals however, I will do everything in my power to watch at least one of the first two games and definitely any game that can be a clincher.

02-13-2007, 07:16 PM
FYI, I'd be a season ticket holder myself, but I work nights and hardly get to go to any games. But I'm taking a vacation first two weeks of June so I can watch the finals, in person or otherwise.
If I had known earlier there would be no playoff tix for the public, I would have gotten a mini-pack just for the rights to playoff tix. :sigh:

Better get to know a season tix holder if you want to attend a playoff game otherwise you can get your favorite recliner ready at home.

I would love it so much if we play Carolina again in the playoffs. I'd get to go to at least 1 or 2 more games, and I probably wouldn't even have much trouble getting tickets at this point down here... Of course, that relies on Carolina actually making the playoffs too...

ebay will not host those auctions as they break state laws.

no they don't. Ebay lets you sell your tickets up to 150% of the face value.

Nope, not bad at all actually. Only problem will be winning the auction - it is the only one on ebay with 3 tix together in the same section.

I have actually seen some pretty decent prices on ebay lately, for the TOR game pairs have been going anywhere from 120-200 which is not bad at all.
