The Lions have given cornerback Dre' Bly permission to seek a trade.
Bly is considered a poor fit in head coach Rod Marinelli's defense. "I have a tremendous amount of respect for Matt (Millen) and Rod allowing me the opportunity to find a home for Dre’ Bly that is more conducive to his Pro Bowl skill set," the cornerback's agent said. all i saw from hood this season was wr's having breakout games on him. every time i watched the eagles i saw hood getting burnt. everytime.Comment

I'd be willing to to do it for a 3rd, or a conditional pick next year. No more. Ultimately, I'll trust in Marv as far as the CBs go...Good riddance Fairchild. Jauron was DC with the Lions, so he might know a thing or two about Bly... if he thinks that the guy can be a more than adequate replacement for NClements (if he does indeed leave), maybe a 4th rd pick (I know that they are asking for a 1st day pick, but that's only part of the negotiation process) for him wouldn't be such a bad investment...
Anyway, I'll trust MLevy & DJauron on this one...
