This is a quality pick up that won't break the bank. Villareal is done, and we aren't riding a whole season behind Preston who is going to be a decent career backup. There is no reason that this guy doesn't end up in a Bills uniform.

I agree with this completely, Villereal is O-L-D and injusry prone, also Preston might be better suited for C, i would not complain at all if this was our first signing, but i hold out hopes we can go after Steinbach from Cinn, him and Peters on the Leftside would be solid for years to come

This should be the highest priority because of all our positions, guard is the best combination of:

1. Urgent need
2. Availability of instant, quality upgrade
3. Affordability

We should do whatever it takes to land this guy or Steinbach.

I don't think we are going to do much shuffling of our OLine. I certainly don't think the FO is going to give up on Preston as a starter this early.

This isn't about giving up on anyone. It's adding instant proven quality. We're getting to the point now where we can't wait for players to develop. We may have guys who are competent and maybe good enough to start, but for such a critical position, competent isn't good enough. We have the cap room to think about not just filling holes, but upgrading spots where we may already have guys penciled in. It's time to turn this team into a playoff contender NOW.

tons of teams have tons of cap space, there aren't many FA's available in the positions we need to fill. You tell me how we're suddenly going to be able to bring them to Buffalo when teams that were more competitive last year are in good cap situations.

because this team has a LOT of holes and re-signing Clements means 2-3 other areas will not be properly addressed. Let some other team pay premium money for inconsistent, slightly above average play.
