Greatest Use Of Franchise Tag In Nfl History

what we just witnessed truly was the greatest use of a franchise tag in nfl history. we went from getting nothing (like with wiley and cowart --not including nfl compensation picks) to getting a 1st round pick.

ANYONE WHOEVER QUESTION TD MUST NOW ADMIT HE IS THE BEST!!!!

Just remember it was TD that did not use the FT on Wiley or Cowart.

Eb, back then, we didn't have the cap space to franchise Wiley did we?

And Cowart wasn't worth a tag, IMO. Not when TD knew we could get Fletcher for a lot cheaper.

I don't blame him for not using the tag on Wiley. He and Moulds were the 2 hot FA's the Bills had that offseason and with the way our cap was looking, I think we were lucky we were able to keep one of them.
In regards to Cowert, would you have used the F. tag on a guy that had been injured as much as he had, guarenteing top 5 $?

lordofgun you are absolutely correct!!! we did not have the cap room because we had to sign moulds also. cowart was damaged goods.

everyone know pp was going to leave and TD let teams like atlanta build up their hopes and desires for pp before he tagged them. amazing

I wasn't doubting why they were not tagged...just didn't want the blame being put on Butler.

                    I'd rather blame Butler anyway.

He's the one who gave Jon Fina hundreds of millions of dollars so we couldn't re-sign Wiley.

St. Louis did the same with Kevin Carter and Tennessee.

Jim Brinson said the same thing you did Billsouth. He said that TD could run for any office in buffalo and win in a land slide vote

Yeah, it was great the way this played out. Very nice!

We moved Price within the first week, Atlanta's happy, presumably, we're ecstatic!

Now we have over $12M to spend on D and backup OL.
Replace Donahoe with Modrak and fire the entire coaching staff!
