He'll be a free agent after 2003. Should TD spend some money and extend his contract (there will be no savings on the cap).

...on some facts that you can give me about cap implications

and also some facts that only Winfield knows such as if he wants to be here (which I believe he does.) If he has every intention of re-signing, then TD might as well wait until 2004

I say depends also...Assuming we sign Adams and Spikes it depends how much money we have left over. We still need a veteran receiver, a kicker, a safety and depth at positions such as OL, DE. You can get some real good players cheap in May and June. If the Bills have some money left in July then I say yes. We will be in better shape next year for the cap plus I am very intrigued by Kevin Thomas.
