I try to stay positive around here when I can, but a lot of what this article (and many around here) said is pretty spot on. I don't get the advantage of claiming you don't know about the McGahee comments if you really did, or of not knowing the compensation for someone who is franchised, or of the seemingly obvious contradiction of keeping your own while saying we may have to let our own go, or of claiming not to know how the SALARY CAP works (I'd love to hear that as an agent interested in doing business with the Bills though)... these are big bright red flags. Even if Marv is just a figurehead who personifies the philosophy of what we're all about and little more, he still is the figurehead. What players/agents think of the front office will definitely play a part in whether or not they want to be here.
With that said, I don't have a problem with cash to cap. It isn't ideal, but its no surprise that this is how things are going to work around here. I also realize that the players who were a part of the product on the field (Jauron's team if you will) have been saying, for the most part, pretty positive things that improve our image. My point is that some of these comments cannot do anything but harm to us as we try to get back to the elite of the NFL. I can't look at this one through rose-colored glasses.
