No. If they do its a mistake.

I guarantee he stays because we're thin at LB as it is and we have the cap room to keep him. If we were short on cap space and/or had a more solid LB corps, cutting him would be a serious consideration. But at the moment it would hurt us far more than it would help us.

Spikes will be given the fulll offseason and training camp / preseason to show he is potentially worth the money. If he is not ready physically they may try to put him on a injury list if they can.

I think he's been too good a player and too much a warrior NOT to give him one more season. And Marv is exactly the guy to give a great veteran one more try.

To be honest I would have bet money that he was not going anywhere. Marv's Press Conference and the Buffalo News are the only reason that I'm wondering.

Why? I think everybody wants to give him another year. It's OBD that might be looking to unload him.

not so sure how I feel about Holcomb. I'm no fan, but if Losman goes down and we have to start Nall, we're 10 steps beyond ****ed.

Villiarial sucks. He never really panned out here and he dogs it on the field. Watching him get owned and commit penalty after penalty in the Denver game at the end of '05 convinced me that he's absolutely worthless. Someone on this website said they thought Villarial got his last big payday when he came to Buffalo and is just going through the motions now (wish I could remember who said it)- I agree. The sooner he's gone, the better.

Give Nall a chance, he has all the measurables and at one tiime was getting more reps than holcomb in training camp, his season/presaeson was killed off by the injury so give the guy a chance. If he preforms well, holcomb could be a cut in training camp.

Spikes hasn't done anything on the field worthy of being cut. He came on pretty strong as the season went on which is when he was finally getting back to playing shape. I think he will bust his ass this offseason and be a force on our defense next year.
