    Little help for one who is not really up on hockey.

    How do the standings work exactly? I thought it went by points yet there are teams with more points listed below others here? Is that due to the lesser point team leading their division thus getting the overall standings nod? A little help.

    Yes, the three division leaders get the top three seeds in each conference
