Chris Brown:
NAPOLEAN HARRIS TO HIT MARKET: It appears as though Minnesota MLB Napolean Harris is going to hit the free agent market. Vikings GM Rick Spielman indicated as much in a published report out of Minneapolis. Harris won't come any cheaper than London Fletcher on the open market, but I would imagine being younger and just entering his prime that he has a much greater chance of landing a five or six year deal. It will be interesting to see if he's pursued by Buffalo at all. ---
Well I say if he comes as cheap as London, we pick up him if we aren't looking to go through the draft route, which you never know, might be better, the less major needs we need going into the draft, the more liberal we can be with picking up skill positions like RB and WR in the earlier rounds. But the question is...now we know the the Viks had a bad ass run D, but was that anything to do with the LB's or the DT's? I say the big fatty boom boom DT's had a lot to do with that, and judging by Harris' stats, he had half the tackles of London, but he did have 3 INTs and 1 FF. The thing OBD has to figure out is if it's best to draft a LB or pick up one in the FA, or both. Best case scenario is both...if Spikes is a bust, we are down 2 LB spots. And i just don't feel comfortable with just handing over the job to Ellison.
