Mancari Called Up; Novotny Skates

The tenth Rochester American to join the blue and gold for the Sabres' 2006-07 season is forward Mark Mancari, summoned to fill-in for downed captain Chris Drury, who was injured by a Chris Neil hit that sparked a melee in Buffalo's 6-5 shoot-out win Thursday night at HSBC Arena.

Mancari has 34 points and 34 penalty minutes in 41 games in Rochester this season, where he wears No. 26. The 21 year-old, 6'4" forward was the team's 7th round pick in 2004, one round after recent call-up Patrick Kaleta.

Oh man, we will pretty much be calling these the Buffalo Amerks soon, if we aren't already. what is that...5 Amerks in 8 days?

Luckily the Sabres were extremely deep at forward. The only thing that Rochester is light on is defensemen.
