I know they still have been winning lately but they have slipped in the intensity dept as of late. Minus any long term injury to Drury last night is just what we needed. How deep are we at forward by the way. None of the Rochester guys looked out of place at all out there!

Good post, man! I agree. I'm also very proud of Drew Stafford. By him going right for Neil immediately after the cheapshot and help defend Drury, he made himself a a big part of the team. I guarantee that the guys bought him a few drinks afterwards. I think that with that and the way he has been playing all this time, there is no way in hell that he'll be going back to Rochester. He's here for good.

Stafford will be a star in this league. He has all the skill in the world and proved he can handle himself as well.

a little earlier on that call there...Stafford is no where near ready to replace either.

It was an excellent wake up call for the team...now we see how they respond. Basically, Ottawa "woke the sleeping giant" last night. If they get healthy and keep the intensity it could be theirs.

Well Eb I kind of agree with Mikey in a way. Stafford will not be ready next season to step right in I think he is in the plans for that role down the line.

well yeah, but they may feel that Briere and Connolly can fill that roll. Or maybe Briere and Vanek or Max.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Stafford here next year on the 2nd or 3rd line. And he will eventually be a captain if he can keep it up.

I still hold out the hope that Drury and Briere both realize that there is something special about this team and take a little hometown discount. Not to screw themselves over, but for the good of the team.

Stafford just made an awesome play. Took the pass and could have shot but sent it right back to Tallinder for the goal (great pass too). Stafford's going to be good.
