Well when you deliver a late hit from the blindside your intent is to injure someone...Neil did exactly what he set out to do....I guess when you can't beat try to knock out one of there best players is Ottawa's philosophy.

5 injuries in 5 games? Can you say "Buffalo Curse" ?

Buffalo's main curse is Bettman and Co.

I have this feeling that he won't be out for to long. I assume when you get that many stitches in your head that a headache will come along with it. I think they are just being safe for now.

...hopefully

Yes since he saved the team's future here by assuming control after the Rigas/hamister disaster....

You Like how Neil, the Little Dip**** shrugged it off and tried to Give Drury Advice.

"It was Clean, Drury Shoulda Kept His Head Up"

HIS EFFING HEAD WAS UP, HE CAN IN FROM THE SIDE Just out of Drury's vision and put his shoulder to the side of his head at full ****ing steam.

A Player just now becoming a 5 Yr Vet doesn't need to be giving someone thats been around since BEFORE 2000 advice, Drury should tell him to kiss his rings

Watching the Replay, Neil was looking right at him, and as soon as the puck left his possession, Niel turned into him.

I Blame this on Ottawa's Coach, they did it to Connolly (Shaefer) the same way, waited till the puck left and came in from the side.

This might be the start of Buffalo absolutely owning Ottawa.

This hit was not clean. "Thhhhhurkerin thhhhhuckatash Murray"

Last years playoffs wasn't the start?

It will be hard to win in Ottawa with 8 starters out however.

Who's going to replace Drury in the lineup? There is nobody to replace him in Rochester

Clean or not, I remember them clearly targeting Connolly. It may have been a technical "clean" hit but they had it in their head before that game to hurt Connolly. I have no doubt about that.

As long as it is clean I am fine with it.

The hit itself was shoulder first. What made it dirty was that it was late.

You're fine with the intent to injure a top player on the Sabres...during the playoffs, who has yet to recover?

It was borderline clean and with very bad intentions.

Connolly had the puck and skated accross the middle with his head down. What did you expect?

RockStar36

Not a shoulder in the head. My problem was the intent to injure. It was after Connolly tore them apart in Game 1. Ottawa is my new Philly.

Murray is a POS coach and a lisping moron.

How can that man garner respect with that lisp? His mouth is too soggy because of Heatleys manhood.

The Connolly hit was totally clean in my book. If we are going to complain about that one then don't celebrate Campbells check on Umberger.

Least Philly had some class in the 2 games we spanked them.

Maybe my anger is directed at the fact Umberger came back a game later, meanwhile Connolly might never come back.

Be pissed about last night. Forget about Connolly.
When all of our players keep getting badly hurt, whether by accident or intent, by the same damn team everytime things start getting hard to forget and it is hard not to be pissed Thurm. Say what you want but a lot of that **** is borderline and with not very bad intent. Connolly's hit was VERY borderline if you look at it and he was definitely targeted. Drury's hit was a ****ing travesty and for Murray to defend his player on that one it shows what his mentallity is. When Tallender got hurt, if you check it out Heatly hooked his leg around Tall's leg. These guys know what the **** they are doing out there. Campbell's hit was very borderline and with bad intentions too so I don't really condone that one for the record. Murray is ordering his team to be very physical with Buffalo and they are taking liberties with it and getting away with murder. Hopefully Buffalo has learned its lesson that the best way not to get hurt is to dish it out and get the first punch in. Hell, I remember when Ottawa was the softest team in the NHL and it wasn't that long ago.

I Still think this "HEAD HITTING HTE ICE CAUSED THE GASH" is Bullshiz,

Its more Likely, THe HELMET/Visor being twisted/broken off his head or when he landed he had his hand under his head on the ice and his head impacted the edge of the wrist guard on his wrist....

its not like Having 20 stitches on a severe gash on your forehead isnt going to give you head aches, make you dizzy or effect your balance or swell, right?

Lindy put it best, it was a late hit so no matter what he hit him with or how drury got cut it was illegal just by the nature of the lateness and total bull****.

we're so far up on Ottawa, I'd like to see us come out and go all 1975 on their ass.
