Should we be excited or scared?!

We are looking at the real possibility of losing the following players:

    1) Clements
    2) Fletcher
    3) Spikes
    4) Kelsay
    5) Gandy

    and now,

    6) McGahee

This is either the massive purge before we sell or maximize profits before we sell or we are clearing more cap space to sign Dielman, Steinbach (maybe both, I think I just **** my pants) Adalius Thomas, etc.

    What do you think?

I think I trust Marv untill he gives me a reason not to. We improved last year when I didn't like any of the moves he made in the draft or FA. So IMO he gets a free pass untill we are no longer improving. If he thinks we need to get rid of everyone then I say go for it.

I think we should let the off-season actually begin and run it's course, before running around screaming "We're doomed ! OMG,OMG,OMG !!!"

Clements is still the only significant loss this off-season, which speaks volumes to how each position was performing last season.

I anticipated losing all these bums entering the 2007 campaign....

The Sun is shining down on Buffalo....the days of rooting for heartless - money hungry players in Buffalo......ARE OVER

All you'll see from Marv forward are hard working players with HEART and DRIVE to win and bring glory to this franchise....

        NOUGH SAID

          1) We will need a starting CB to replace him, but we play a defensive scheme that does not rely on cover corners. If we can get someone like Harper from the Colts (who should be affordable), we'll be fine.
          2) Fletcher can be replaced with our draft pick or with Thomas. I'd be scared if we don't find a replacement, but if we do, we'll be fine.
          3) Spikes isn't going anywhere- we're thin at LB and he's not hurting our cap situation. He'll get one more season to return to form, then he'll be cut or traded if he doesn't step it up.
          4) Kelsay- please. This guy is easily replaceable. Denny/Hargrove can generate the same production
          5) Gandy- he's a terrible tackle but a decent guard. I'd rather see us keep him and dump Villarial, but my guess is that if the FO lets him go, they have a replacement in mind- for once, I'll defer to their judgement.
          6) McGahee runs his mouth much better than he runs on the football field. 900 yard RB's are a dime a dozen. McGahee's name recognition wont be easy to replace, but his production on the field will be.

Long story short- mid tier FA's or draft picks can easily replace anyone we might lose. Marv is getting rid of TD's team and building his own- let's just hope the Bills get it right this time.

I felt the same after losing Jon Carmen. After this year, I think I can finally bring myself to watch a Bills game in 2008.

i think gandy would be important for our Guard situation.if he leaves,we need a couple of Guards to shore up that position.

                    1) We have Youboty, and we can sign someone like Rod Hood to start the season, and give Youboty some experience to someday takeover.

2/3) Theres plenty of different ways we can go like Willis at 12, Jon Beason, or we can move Crowell to MLB and draft a guy like Rory Johnson who can run a 4.4.

                    4) We have Denney who can split time, we can always resign Hargrove, and look to the draft.

                    5) Theres Steinbach, Dielman, and Andrews.

The only one I'd be sad to see leave is Spikes.

I think his 5 int season and 2tds with us was pretty impressive.

Led All Pro voting at OLB, got twice as many votes as the next guy, led all linebackers in turnovers and passes defended. Kinda hard to top that. Not to mention his leadership on No. 2 defense in league.
