    If Cincy does match...

Is that it for our pursuit of Spikes? Can we submit another package, or is that the one and only deal? I'm hearing that if they match he's theirs at the price the Bills offered.

It will be over if they match it. They just have to pay him what we offered.

If this is anywhere near his contract they are not going to match. Even Bengals.com seems to think they won't.

I imagine we can submit a new offer if we want.

I doubt TD would however. He isn't going to get into a bidding war for a player, no matter who it is!

This 7 day thing is what bothers me, if they do match, will the other LB's we're looking at be gone? And if there not, will they look past the Bills because they know they weren't the Bills first choice? It could also hurt our chances of signing a guy like Adams, that I think we would definately need if we don't get the LB's that we need.

If they match the offer he is gone. He immediatly stays a bengle and we can no longer negotiate.

I hope that Lewis realizes it's not the money that he should be concerned about. It's the fact that Spikes doesn't want to be a bengal anymore. He should look into that.

I am also banking on the past that their owner is cheap.

              Honestly though

2 weeks ago how many of us really thought we would get the chance to even worry about this now

This is way cool, this whole thing is unfolding just like it did in our minds at the end of the season

Having TD sure does liven up the offseason!

cincy won't match the offer TD gave and it won't make any difference with Sam Adams now that the Price deal is done.

The Bungles don't have a prayer in matching that offer sheet! Go Bills!

Spikes needs to call him up and say "I don't want to play here anymore".
That should make their choice simple enough.
